Making Images Good Quality
In Photosho
So you grabbed off an image from Google and you say: "OMG, I can't use this! It's horrible quality!" There's a solution on that, luckily!
Step One: Open Adobe Photoshop and the picture you wish to edit and then go to Image > Adjusments > Auto Levels. Then go down to Auto Contrast, then Auto Color (you do not have to use Auto Color if you do not like the outcome of the picture).
Step Two: After that, go to Brightness/Contrast and when the little window opens, go down to "Contrast" and move the little tab up until it is stronger in contrast. This helps the colors of the pictures brighten.
Step Three You look at the pictures and you say "It's still not good in quality." Step one and two is just editing the colors of the image. Now, to get rid of JPG grains you might see on the picutre, go to Filter > Noise > Reduce Noise There, another window will pop up. Now, set the strength to "10", and then move down to "Preserve details". This little control allows you to smoothen the image and remove details from it, but at the same time it will rid of some of the JPG grains. As you move the tab towards the left, you will see the image becoming smoother. As the numbers become closer to 0, it will become smoother. Set it to the number that looks good and go down to "Reduce Color Noise". This control will eliminate some of the color noise you see in the outcome of digital camera pictures, etc. If you images has color noise, just move the tab to the right to whatever number suits you. The "Sharpen Details" control doesn't need to be used unless you wish to sharpen your image.
Step Four:You should be done removing some of the noise on the image. However, sometimes some pictures with much amount of JPG grains can't be fixed. If it can't, I suggest you resize the image, reducing the size by 50-100px. If you plan to resize, then skip Step 3. Or if you don't plan to resize, just skip this step.
I hope this tutorial came in handy!
